Struck in the final years of its series, this 1915 half dollar from the San Francisco Mint showcases the enduring artistry of Charles Barber. Crafted from 90 percent silver, the coin represents a bygone era of American coinage. It survives in Fine condition, showing the honest wear of a piece that active circulation once touched, while retaining the core details of its classic imagery. The obverse features a dignified portrait of Lady Liberty, who wears a laurel wreath atop her head and a traditional Phrygian cap. The word Liberty is visible on her headband, accompanied by the national motto declaring trust in God. Thirteen stars frame her profile, leading down to the 1915 year of manufacture. On the reverse, a heraldic eagle spreads its wings, holding a protective shield across its chest. In its beak, the bird carries a scroll inscribed with the Latin phrase meaning out of many, one.
