The 1915 Barber quarter represents the final years of a classic United States coinage era. Minted in San Francisco, as indicated by the S mint mark, this twenty five cent piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.1788 troy ounces of the precious metal. Surviving in Very Good condition, the coin displays the honest wear of a piece that actively circulated through early twentieth century commerce. Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse features a classic depiction of Lady Liberty facing right. She wears a laurel wreath atop her head, layered over a Phrygian cap. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST is inscribed above her, with the year 1915 anchored at the bottom. The reverse showcases a powerful heraldic eagle with its wings spread wide. A protective shield rests on the bird's chest, while its beak holds a banner. In its talons, the eagle grasps both an olive branch and a cluster of arrows, symbolizing a desire for peace alongside a readiness for defense.
