This particular coin represents the Type II Standing Liberty Quarter, a design that emerged from modifications made to the original 1917 release. Struck in 90% silver, this piece contains approximately 0.1808 troy ounces of precious metal and showcases the artistic vision of sculptor Hermon MacNeil. On the obverse, Liberty is depicted stepping forward through an opening in a wall, holding an olive branch in one hand and a protective shield in the other.
