The 1920-S Standing Liberty quarter represents a fascinating era in United States coinage, combining precious metal content with a highly detailed, classical design. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, this coin contains 0.1808 troy ounces of silver in a 90% silver and 10% copper composition. It belongs to a total mintage of 6,380,000 pieces produced for that year. On the obverse, Lady Liberty is depicted walking through an opening in a stone wall, holding an olive branch in one hand and a shield in the other. The inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST" is rendered with a traditional "V" for the "U" as "IN COD WE TRVST".
