The 1920 Standing Liberty quarter represents a classic era of United States silver coinage. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint with a purity of 90 percent silver, this twenty-five cent piece contains 0.1788 troy ounces of precious metal. Because it was produced at the main Philadelphia facility, the coin does not bear a mint mark, distinguishing it from branch mint issues of the same year. On the obverse, the figure of Liberty stands guard, flanked by the traditional national motto of faith, inscribed as "IN COD WE TRVST".
