The 1923 Standing Liberty Quarter represents a fascinating moment in United States coinage, showcasing a design that captures the artistic energy of the early twentieth century. Created by Hermon MacNeil, the obverse of the coin presents a powerful image of Liberty walking forward through a gateway. In one hand she holds an olive branch, while the other supports a shield. The inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the date "1923" are visible on this side. The reverse features a majestic eagle soaring through the air, surrounded by the traditional inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM", and the denomination "QUARTER DOLLAR".
