The 1923 Standing Liberty quarter represents a fascinating era in United States coinage, blending classical allegory with the tense atmosphere of the early twentieth century. In a Very Fine state of preservation, the coin retains much of the intricate detail that makes this specific design series so celebrated among numismatists. Rather than wearing traditional flowing robes alone, she is shown clad in chainmail, stepping forward through a stone gateway. Legible inscriptions on this side include the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the word "LIBERTY". The reverse of the quarter features a dynamic depiction of an eagle captured mid-flight.
