In her hands, she balances the dual concepts of peace and defense, holding an olive branch in one hand while raising a shield with the other. The inscription "IN COD WE TRVST" (using the classical Latin 'V' for 'U') is split across the gateway, while the year 1925 is clearly visible at her feet. The reverse of the coin presents a powerful image of a majestic eagle captured mid-flight. Surrounding the soaring bird are the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "QUARTER DOLLAR," alongside the traditional Latin motto "E PLVRIBVS VNVM."
