The 1927 Standing Liberty quarter is a fascinating example of early twentieth-century American coinage. This particular specimen survives in Very Fine condition, showing clear details of its intricate, powerful artwork. On the obverse, the design presents a distinctively militaristic depiction of Liberty. She is shown stepping forward through a stone gateway, clad in chainmail armor. In her hands, she bears both a shield and an olive branch, symbolizing a dual stance of defense and peace. The year 1927 is stamped at the base, while the motto "IN COD WE TRVST" is visible alongside the word "LIBERTY" flanking her figure. The reverse of the coin features a majestic eagle soaring through the air. Surrounding the flying bird are the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "E PLVRIBVS VNVM", along with the denomination "QUARTER DOLLAR".
