The 1928 quarter dollar from the Denver Mint showcases one of the most dynamic designs in United States coinage. Struck in 90% silver, this piece belongs to the beloved Standing Liberty series. The coin carries a silver content of approximately 0.1788 troy ounces, representing an era when precious metal circulated daily in the pockets of Americans. On the obverse, Hermon MacNeil's design depicts a powerful, militaristic figure of Liberty. She is shown stepping forward through an opening in a wall, holding a protective shield in one hand and an olive branch in the other, symbolizing a balance between defense and peace.
