0.1788 troy oz .900 1929 Very Fine

Struck in 90 percent silver, this 1929 quarter from the Denver Mint represents a classic era of United States coinage. The coin contains approximately 0.1788 troy ounces of precious metal and is preserved in Very Fine condition, showing the clear details of its intricate, historic artwork. The obverse features an elegant depiction of Liberty stepping forward through an open gate. In her hands, she carries an olive branch of peace alongside a protective shield. The legends surrounding her include the word LIBERTY and the traditional motto IN GOD WE TRUST, with the year 1929 clearly visible at the base of the design. On the reverse, the coin displays a powerful image of an eagle soaring through the air. This side bears the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the denomination QUARTER DOLLAR. Created by artist Hermon MacNeil, this design remains one of the most celebrated and visually compelling motifs in American numismatic history.
