1930-S Standing Liberty Quarter Fine
The 1930 Standing Liberty quarter represents the final year of one of America's most celebrated circulating coin designs. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, this twenty-five cent piece is composed of ninety percent silver, containing approximately 0.1788 troy ounces of the precious metal. Even in Fine condition, the coin retains the core elements of its elegant and active imagery. The obverse of the coin presents a powerful depiction of Liberty stepping forward through a gateway. In her hands, she holds an olive branch and a protective shield, symbolizing both peace and defense. The inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST" is split across the field, with the date 1930 clearly visible at the base of the design. On the reverse, the coin features a majestic eagle captured mid-flight. Surrounding the soaring bird are the national inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM," alongside the denomination "QUARTER DOLLAR." This combination of artistic strength and traditional symbolism makes the 1930-S quarter a compelling subject for study and appreciation.
