The 1930 Standing Liberty quarter dollar represents the final year of one of America's most visually compelling coin designs. Struck in 90% silver with a precious metal content of 0.17875 troy ounces, this coin showcases the intricate artistry of the era. The Philadelphia Mint produced over five million of these quarters in 1930, marking the end of a design series that captured a unique moment in American numismatic history. On the obverse, Liberty is depicted in a powerful stance, clad in chainmail as she steps through a gateway. In one hand she holds an olive branch, a symbol of peace, while her other hand holds a protective shield. The inscription "IN GOD WE TRVST" is split across the gateway walls, with the date "1930" clearly visible at the base of the design. The reverse of the coin features a majestic eagle captured mid-flight, wings spread wide as it soars. Surrounding the eagle are the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the traditional Latin motto "E PLVRIBVS VNVM". The denomination is boldly declared at the bottom as "QUARTER DOLLAR".
